Cookie notice

This website currently sets no cookies. That is a checkable statement, not a reassuring one.

What this site sets

No cookies. When last checked on 19 August 2026, loading any page of this site set no cookies at all. You can confirm this yourself in your browser's developer tools, and an automated check re-confirms it on every build.

The site loads one third-party file — the Cloudflare Web Analytics script — and that involves two Cloudflare addresses, both named here so the list is complete:

  • static.cloudflareinsights.com — where the script itself is downloaded from.
  • cloudflareinsights.com — where the script then sends the page-view measurement.

Those are the only third-party addresses any page here contacts. An automated check fails the build if a third one ever appears.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device, reads nothing from it, and does not fingerprint your browser. It cannot follow you to other websites.

It has been running for longer than an earlier version of this page said. Until 19 August 2026 it was switched on in our hosting dashboard rather than added to our code, and this notice did not account for it. That is corrected in the privacy notice.

Why there is no banner asking you to accept it. The rule that requires a consent prompt — regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations — is about storing information on your device or reading information already stored there. This analytics does neither, so that rule is not engaged and a banner would be asking your permission for something that is not happening. It also collects no personal data. An earlier version of this page promised that any analytics would return “alongside a consent mechanism”; that promise was written with cookie-based analytics in mind, and the honest way to keep faith with it was to choose analytics that needs no consent rather than to add a banner for appearances.

If that ever changes, so does this page. Anything that stores or reads data on your device, or that collects personal data, will not be added without a consent mechanism and a rewrite of this page in the same change.

Google Analytics 4 ran on this site until 6 August 2026, when it was removed. While it was running it set two cookies (_ga and _ga_BK08PCTKLE) and sent a request to Google on every page load, with no way to ask your consent first and no accurate notice describing it. It is not coming back; an automated check fails the build if it reappears.

This site also records one custom event of its own when you click a phone number, containing only the word call_click and the path of the page you were on. It sets no cookie and carries no identifier. It is described in full in the privacy notice.

Browser storage that is not a cookie

If you use the light/dark toggle in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name alf-theme. It is a single word — dark or nothing. It never leaves your device, it is not sent to ALF Digital or anyone else, and it is not used to identify you. Clearing your site data removes it.

Third parties you may reach from here

The Cloudflare analytics script named above is the only third-party file embedded in these pages. Some links take you elsewhere, though, and once you are there that site's own cookie practices apply:

  • The scheduling tool used to book a fit call
  • The portfolio and concept-study sites linked from the websites page

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also provides the analytics described above. Cloudflare can set strictly necessary security cookies where its bot-protection features are in use; none were observed on this site when it was last checked on 19 August 2026. Strictly necessary cookies of that kind do not require consent.

What Cloudflare records as part of hosting is covered in the privacy notice.

Managing cookies

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies for any site. As things stand this site sets none, so there is nothing here to block. If you would rather the analytics script did not load at all, any content blocker or a browser set to block third-party scripts will stop it, and the site will work exactly as before — nothing on it depends on that script.
